THE COMPANY

American Eagle Home Inspections was licensed in 2003 and we have been providing quality, professional home inspections ever since.  The company was originally located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, but we moved to Elgin, Illinois in March of 2006.  Our offices are located at 632 Tuscan View Drive, Elgin, IL.

    • 35 years experience in the printing and machinery building industries, including over 20 years experience in performance and safety testing of equipment.
    • Engineering experience in design and modification of equipment.
    • Experience as a Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.

    • For our client’s protection, American Eagle Home Inspections, LLC carries Errors and Omissions Insurance (professional liability) and General Liability Insurance.  Certificates of Insurance are available upon request.

    • American Eagle Home Inspections, LLC was established in the State of Illinois on November 28, 2003.  Kenneth W. Winter is the sole member of this Limited Liability Corporation (LLC).

  • Detailed Reports
    • All reports and other documents are computer-generated using 3D Inspection software, which can include photographs, detailed drawings and/or attention-catching colored icons to make the report as thorough as possible.
    • While the reports and other documents are, by contract, to be used only by the inspector and the client, copies of these documents can be made available to sellers, Realtors and attorneys via email, fax or standard mail.

Ken Winter has thirty-five years experience in machine design engineering, project engineering and engineering management, primarily in the printing industry.  His company, American Eagle Home Inspections, LLC, was established  in late 2003.  Ken’s technical background includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Ken has been a NAHI Associate Member since March 2005, a ICNAHI Member since March 2005, and a member of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce.  His previous technical memberships include the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, and Illinois Society of Professional Engineers.  He was also a Registered Professional Engineer from 1975 to 2005.
